1. Emollients :

• Exotic Butters:  Exotic butters and oils are considered as classic emollient for the skin.  They have fatty acid profiles that lend themselves towards penetrating the epidermis in order to hold the moisture and to bring nutrients to the different strata of the skin.  They also help in healing the cracked lips and providing a luscious feel.
• Biophilic S: An ingredient with the concept that even lips have their own sun protection need. A choice ingredient for creating lipsticks exposed to high temperature, contains lecithin, well known for its pigment dispersion properties and waxes to maintain the breaking point. Ideal for cosmetic products exposed to high temperature.

2. Pigment dispersing Agents :

• Siltech CE-2000: Citrate ester of a Guerbet Alcohol.  This high molecular weight ester is oil soluble and provides unique wetting and grinding agent for anhydrous pigment system along with excellent cushioning and emolliency.  It is comfortable with hydrocarbons and therefore causes no problems if used with mineral oil and microcrystalline wax.
• Dermofeel Sensolv: 100% natural, high spreading, highly polar, non oxidizing oil.  Provides elegant skin feel. It is non greasy and an excellent choice as an emollient, an ideal choice for color cosmetics showing very good solvating behavior for all pigments.

3. Gloss Additives :

• Silwax 3HMS: A short polydimethyl silaxone with methyl styrene group attached.  The incorporation of aryl group increases refractive index and consequently gloss.   It imparts gloss on lips along with high lubricity.
• Silwax DOMS:  Imparts gloss because of high refractive index, also adds softness, low viscosity hence no sticky build up.
